DnDungeon Assets License

DnDungeon Assets License v1.1

This license applies to the pack or packs of cartography assets distributed or sold alongside a notice regarding its applicability.

Demo & sample map licensing

Demo packs, as well as all free sample maps included with the asset pack(s) as demos of those packs' capabilities, are licensed under the Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0 license. Furthermore, for the purposes of licensing, all derivative works (maps, diagrams, etc.) produced with demo assets are considered to be Adapted Material.The short-form guidelines are that:

1. You must provide attribution in the form of a URI or hyperlink pointing to dndungeon.com & reference Saki as the asset artist.
2. Only non-commercial derivative works may be produced with the demo.
3. Such derivative works must be distributed under a license equal to or compatible with the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.

Full version licensing

The purchased version of the licensed asset pack(s) are licensed under the following terms to all purchasers.

1. License Grant

a. Cyclopean (LLC) grants You (the individual or entity exercising these rights) a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the Assets (the pack & its constituent components) to create Cartography (see §2a) for any purpose, including both commercial and non-commercial use.

2. Derivative Works

a. "Cartography" refers to any digital or printed images, maps, diagrams, charts, or other informative or artistic products created using the Assets.

b. Cyclopean claims no ownership or rights over Cartography created by You. You retain all rights to Your Cartography.

3. Attribution

a. You must credit Cyclopean (or "Saki", or "DnDungeon") as the creator of the Assets in any commercial distribution of Cartography. The attribution should be legible & not hidden or concealed. It is politely requested (though not required) that attribution also be provided for non-commercial use.

b. Attribution should include, wherever possible, a hyperlink or URI pointing to dndungeon.com.

c. Specific attribution guidelines:

• Books: Include in the credits section.
• Web Content: Include in the description, in the image(s) as text, or on the hosting webpage.

4. Restrictions

a. The Assets may not be redistributed, sublicensed, relicensed, or sold in their original or modified form.

b. Remixing or modifying the Assets for personal use is permitted; however, public distribution of remixed or modified versions of the Assets is, without explicit written permission from Cyclopean, prohibited.

c. You may not imply or suggest that Cyclopean endorses or is affiliated with Your Cartography.

d. For this license to be valid, You must have purchased a copy of the Assets from Cyclopean LLC or an official distributor.

5. Updates

Cyclopean may provide updates to the Assets at its discretion, which will be available to You free of charge.

6. Termination

This license is perpetual and irrevocable unless You breach any terms. Upon termination, You must cease all use of the Assets and destroy all copies of the Assets. Furthermore, You must also cease all use of and destroy any Cartography created in violation of the terms of this license, including any copies or distributions thereof. Failure to comply with these terms may result in legal action.

7. No Warranty

The Assets are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Cyclopean shall not be held liable for any damages arising from the use of the Assets.

8. Governing Law

This license shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of South Dakota.
